BABYSITTING With Love - Three Core Values

Babysitting is not just a job - it is a relationship, one that you build overtime. It starts with loving what you do, then it expands into establishing trust, care, and providing the best for your charge. In order to be effective, consider this role as one that will have a lifelong impact. As you strive to build a level of care that goes above and beyond duties, it is imperative that you display all the characteristics of an effective caregiver.

Three core values that any caregiver (whether you are caring for a child or an adult) should possess.

1. Love - This is critical for building any relationship. Without love, there is very little opportunity to have a positive impact on a person's life.

2. Trust - To have an impact on anyone with whom you have been entrusted to give care and attention, trust is a criterion.

3. Rapport - Communication is the key to building and developing all relationships. Without this, it becomes difficult to achieve any of the other two. Building rapport is critical to the success of relationship that aims to be successful.

Love, trust, and excellent rapport becomes the cornerstone for building any type of relationship. When someone entrusts you with this role, it means that they have already affirmed you and think you are well worth the investment in the life of their loved one.
